In a room full of game-changers and bright ideas, Edves didn’t just compete; we brought the je ne sais quoi!
At this year’s FrenchWeek Startup Competition, hosted by the Franco-Nigerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in partnership with French Tech Lagos, Edves, represented by our Co-founder and COO Dare Adebayo rose to the top as the overall winner, outshining ten other ambitious startups from across Nigeria.
This win is not just about bragging rights; it is a celebration of the power of Nigerian ingenuity in education technology.
The competition gathered some of Nigeria’s most promising startups, each bringing fresh ideas from Education, Agriculture, Mobility, Clean Energy to solve pressing challenges in their respective sectors. As a leading player in the edtech sector, Edves stood out for its innovative approach to making learning accessible and personalized. Our platform, dedicated to enhancing the educational experience through AI-powered technology, captured the judges' attention with its practical, scalable solutions for schools and the government sector.
In addition to its cutting-edge AI capabilities, Edves is a bilingual platform available in both English and French, with customers in French-speaking countries, a feature that uniquely positions us to serve a broader range of students and educators. With expansion into more francophone regions as one of our goals for 2025, this signals an exciting direction for Edves as we aim to bridge language barriers in education and bring quality learning experiences to even more schools.
Winning at the FrenchWeek 2024 highlights not only the strength of Edves' technology but also our commitment to building an inclusive, innovative future for education in Africa.
